- 2/1/10 Requested Info from Our Family Adoptions (OFA)
- 2/8/10 Mailed Application to OFA
- 2/11/10 Application Accepted
- 3/1/10 Referral Already?!?!
- 3/2/10 Get Picture of Twins!!
- 3/12/10 Finish Dossier Packet
- 3/12/10 Begin Homestudy
- 3/24/10 Babies Moved to Foster Care
- 3/28/10 Home Visit
- 4/21/10 Dossier Filed in DRC
- 5/6/10 Homestudy Complete
- 5/7/10 I600a Mailed
- 5/20/10 Receive Fingerprint Appointment Date
- 5/28/10 USCIS Fingerprints Day
- 6/30/10 2nd USCIS Fingerprint Appt (my prints don't take well)
- 7/26/10 Received Favorable Judgement in Congo!
- 7/26/10 Fingerprints failed again. Next step - get them ink rolled in town, and request a police clearance.
- 8/16/10 Fingerprints finally took well! Received police clearance letter, and mailed off to USCIS
- 8/21/10 Congo Judgement Filed: 30-day appeal window begins!!
- 9/2/10 Received USCIS Approval!!
- 9/23/10 Appeal ends and twins are legally ours!!!
- 10/21/10 Twins' passports signed by Congolese government
- 11/23/10 Board a plane - Congo bound!!!
- 11/25/10 Meet N & L in Bukavu!! Happy Thanksgiving!
- 12/19/10 Zach arrives in Kinshasa and meets N & L
- 12/24/10 I head home, leaving Zach to finish up the process in Kinshasa
- 12/25/10 So happy to be HOME with Megan!!! Missing the rest of our family and hoping they can travel home soon.
- 12/30/10 GOTCHA DAY!!! Everyone home in Oregon, and the family all together for the first time.
